What We Do
We own and manage a wide variety of homes on rented, leasehold or shared ownership basis across Surrey, West and East Sussex, and Berkshire. These are available to families, couples and single people.
Virtually all of our rented homes are let on Assured tenancies. The properties are unfurnished and uncarpeted by us. RSMHA is responsible for undertaking the majority of any repairs or maintenance required.
Properties at our leasehold schemes are all designated for older people only and are owned by the occupiers. As the freeholder RSMHA is responsible for maintaining common areas and services in accordance with the terms of the lease. The owner must pay us a service charge to cover our management costs of the scheme, as well as for any major repairs needed.
The homes we develop on a shared ownership basis are available to buy for a percentage of the total market value with the owner paying a subsidised rent for the remaining equity share. Shared owners will also pay a service charge.
Approximately half of our 550 properties are for older people, some of these are managed by on-site Scheme Managers who provide support to residents and oversee most day-to-day operations at the scheme.
Applications for rented homes are normally made through our partner local authorities, although in some cases we do accept direct applications.
Leasehold homes are marketed for sale by the owner but we can also provide information and arrange viewings in most cases.
