Lights, camera, action!

Lights, camera, action!

On 2 April Mole Abbey, West Molesey played host to a film crew shooting a film for Cambridge University that is to be used to help teach English to students in other countries.

The communal lounge was the centre piece for much of the day’s proceedings and alongside nearly 30 film crew and actors, Mole Abbey residents were able to both participate in and observe the action (and one or two retakes!).

The film features a number of ladies line dancing in the lounge, one of whom is Pauline Pightling, a resident from The Fairings. Other residents staking their claim  for a place in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing are Rosie Wheeler, Thelma Field and Eileen Hamlin. With them was actress Eileen Page who has worked with the RSC and appeared in Holby City and The Bill.

Our sincere thanks to everyone at Mole Abbey for their support and participation in this event.
